This stew is a great way to use up leftover beef. I always have some in my freezer and it's so convenient to just throw it in the slow cooker with some cider and spices.

The stew was delicious, but it took a lot longer to cook than the recipe said. I had to simmer it for an extra hour to get the beef tender.

The stew was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. I'll try using less cider next time.
