Cinnamon- Orange Cider image

I got this recipe from a friend at church. It is a great change from the regular hot cider. I make this for my family for Valentine's Day. It warms our bodies as well as our hearts.

Number Of Ingredients 5

32 oz apple cider
2 c orange juice
2 Tbsp red cinnamon candies
1 1/2 tsp whole allspice
1 1/2 Tbsp honey

Steps:

  • 1. Place cider, orange juice, allspice and cinnamon candies in a pan.
  • 2. Heat to boiling. Then reduce heat.
  • 3. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 4. Remove the allspice.
  • 5. Stir in the honey.
  • 6. Serve warm.
  • 7. You can garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired.
