Citrus Pork Steak image

I am very happy with the outcome of the dinner menu- and will be making it again in the near future. This will work great with chicken, or beef too. I hope you give this recipe a try...I served it with dilled rice and whole kernel corn as side dishes.. and for dessert I made apple crisp.

4 boneless pork chops 3/4-inch thick
4 tsp garlic powder
4 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 medium onion, diced
1 can(s) 10 1/2 oz. condensed golden mushroom soup
1/4 c water
15 oz can mandarin orange slices, undrained
1/4 c soy sauce
1/4 c honey
1 tsp ground mustard
1/4 tsp dried dill weed

Steps:

  • 1. Cut each chop in 2 pieces; place on wax paper and sprinkle with garlic powder on both sides. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork pieces and brown well on both sides.
  • 2. In a large measuring bowl; combine onion, soup, mandarin oranges with juice, soy sauce,honey, dill, mustard,dill weed and corn starch mixed with the 1/4 cup water.
  • 3. Stir soup mixture to blend and pour over chops in skillet; heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook 10 minutes or until pork is cooked through and sauce has thickened. Serve pork and sauce with rice and sprinkle with parsley, if desired.
