Classic Iceberg Salad with Thousand Island Dressing image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tbsp. pickle relish
1 tbsp. catsup
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. cider vinegar
1 head iceberg lettuce
2 medium tomatoes

Steps:

  • 1. In small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, relish, catsup, mustard, sugar, lemon juice and vinegar. Beat with wire whisk til well blended. Remove core from lettuce; cut lettuce into 6 wedges. Put each wedge on salad plate. Cut each tomato into 6 wedges. Arrange 2 wedges on each plate. Spoon some dressing over each lettuce wedge. Pass remaining dressing around. Makes 6 servings.
