CORNED BEEF AND CABBAGE image

Another comfort food to warm the tummy on a cold night. This simple recipe has been enjoy by my family members for over 40 years. It is definitely a very old recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c soy sauce
1 c water
3/4 c sugar
2 can(s) corned beef
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 medium head of cabbage, sliced

Steps:

  • 1. Bring to a boil in a large pot, soy sauce, water and sugar.
  • 2. Add the onions and corned beef, boil until onions are soft.
  • 3. Add the cabbage and simmer till cabbage is soft.
  • 4. Serve over hot rice.
