CREAMED SWEET CORN WITH BACON image

Believe me, this is to die for! It came from Schwans.com. Serve it with a holiday meal or any other time. They will love it!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/4 c diced onions
1 Tbsp butter
4 c frozen sweet corn
4 slice fully cooked bacon, crumbled
1 c heavy cream
1/2 c chicken broth
1 Tbsp all purpose flour
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 c grated parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp minced fresh parsleuy

Steps:

  • 1. Saute onion in butter for 2 to 3 minutes. Add corn and bacon. Cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  • 2. Stir together cream, broth and flour.
  • 3. Pour cream mixture into corn and bring to a boil. Simmer on low 10-12 minutes until sauce thickens.
  • 4. Stir in pepper, Parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.
