CROCKPOT DRESSING image

While I am preparing the other items for my holiday meal, I find it easier to put the dressing in the crockpot so I can free the oven for other uses. This dressing comes out moist and delicious.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 (8 inch) pan cornbread
8 slice dry white bread, cubed
4 large eggs
2 can(s) chicken broth
2 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1 Tbsp ground sage
1 tsp black pepper
3 ribs celery, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 large bell pepper, chopped
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 c cubed chicken or turkey (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Add ingredients, except butter, to crockpot, stirring after each ingredient.
  • 2. Dot butter on top of dressing mixture.
  • 3. Cook 2 hours on High then 4 to 6 hours on low.
