This is another old recipe. Sorta cake like, but an easy recipe to follow and a quick dessert to whip up with healthy cranberries in it.

Time 50m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 c all purpose flour
1 c white sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 c cranberries
1/2 c walnuts
1/2 c butter, melted but not hot
2 eggs
1 tsp almond extract (vanilla works too)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch pie dish In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt, stir until mixed. Add cranberries and walnuts, and mix. Add melted butter, eggs, and extract stirring until combined. *Remember it may be thick if you are using frozen cranberries* Spread batter into prepared dish.
  • 2. Bake pie for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm or room temperature with sprinkled powdered sugar or ice cream, if desired.
  • 3. Refrigerate leftovers for up to one week. It also freezes well for up to 3 months. When using frozen cranberries you may want to cut down the sugar amount to 1/3 as freezing cranberries converts a part of their starch into grape sugar. So frozen cranberries require 1/3 less sugar than fresh.

This pie is amazing! It's the perfect combination of tart and sweet. The crust is flaky and the filling is creamy. I will definitely be making this pie again.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my pie didn't turn out at all. The crust was hard and the filling was too runny.

This pie was a disaster! The crust was soggy and the filling was runny. I think I might have overcooked it.

I found this pie to be a bit bland. I think it would have been better if I had added some spices, like cinnamon or nutmeg.

This pie was a bit too tart for my taste, but I think that's because I used fresh cranberries. I might try using frozen cranberries next time to see if that makes a difference.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this pie. I'm not usually a fan of cranberries, but the tartness was perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the filling. The pie was also very easy to make, and it looked very impressive when I brought i

I've made this pie twice now, and it's always a crowd-pleaser. The cranberries give it a beautiful color and a tart flavor that pairs perfectly with the sweet filling. I also love that it's so easy to make - just mix everything together and bake.
