Dill and Black Pepper Fish image

My father is a fantastic fisherman, so I always have a deep freezer full of fish. We prepare it many different ways, but this is by far the kids' favorite at our house. An easy way to prepare fish for the whole family to enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 tablespoon vegetable oil, or as needed
¾ cup crushed dill-pickle-flavored potato chips
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon onion powder
4 (4 ounce) cod fillets
1 cup buttermilk

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a rimmed baking sheet with oil.
  • Combine crushed chips, pepper, and onion powder in a medium bowl. Dip cod in buttermilk; drain off excess.
  • Place cod on the prepared baking dish and press chip mixture evenly on top of the fillets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until fish flakes easily with a fork, 20 to 25 minutes.
