Double Chip Meringue Bars image

This recipe came from my mom. It originally called just for chocolate chips, but the addition of peanut butter chips was a huge success. And the meringue topping makes these bars extra special.

I've never been a huge fan of meringue, but these bars changed my mind. The meringue was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and the chocolate and butterscotch chips added a delicious flavor.
