Glazed Honey Bars image

This is delicious...dont be fooled by the mayo....try it you will love it.

3/4 c vegetable oil
1/4 c honey
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon
2 c self rising flour
1 c walnuts (optional)
1 c confectioners' sugar
1 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350. Lightly grease 13x9x2 pan
  • 2. In a mixing bowl beat oil, honey, sugar and the egg. Stir the cinnamon into flour then stir this into sugar mixture and mix well.Stir in nuts (if using).
  • 3. Spread the batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes. When done remove from oven n let stand a few minutes while making glaze.
  • 4. In a bowl stir together the confectioners sugar, mayonnaise, milk and vanilla. Pour glaze over cake and spread evenly. Let cool, then cut into bars.
