Go Lumps (Chinese Noodle) Candy image

This is a recipe when butterscotch chips first came out that I have modified over the years. My kids loved them and now my grandkids want me to make them all the time IF their parents will let me.

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 5

5-7 oz chinese noodles
1 c peanut butter
6 oz marshmellows
1 bag(s) butterscotch chips
1/4 C c butter

Steps:

  • 1. Set aside noodles. A can of chinese noodles is 5 oz, a bag is about 12 oz. Use one can or 1/2 bag
  • 2. In a mixing bowl, microwave together the marshmallows, peanut butter, /14 C butter for 1 or 2 minutes increments on high heat. Stir together until almost smooth. I just repeatedly spray a spoon with oil in order to mix and drop the cookies
  • 3. With a greased spoon, mix in the noodles with microwaved cookies. Then drop on wax paper with greased spoon. Edible immediately, but they harden into a fudgy, crunchy candy in about 20 minutes.

I'm not sure what went wrong. I followed the recipe exactly and the candy still didn't turn out.

I think this recipe needs more sugar. The candy was a bit too sour for my taste.

I tried this recipe and it didn't turn out well. The candy was too hard and not very flavorful.
