I found this recipe in my late Grandma's recipe box shortly after my mother passed away. It was from my Great Grandmother. It's a wonderfully moist cake that I hope you will enjoy.

Steps:
- 1. Sift flour, soda ,salt, add raisins,dates, cherries and nuts set aside
- 2. Beat egg with the sugar then add applesauce,spices,pineapple and melted shortening
- 3. Combine dry ingredents with the wet mix well. Place in greased and floured bunt pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Insert toothpick to check for doneness.
