Grandmas Cherry Pie image

Grandma had a cherry tree in her back yard, I could hardly wait for the cherries to ripen. Cherry Pie is my favorite.Warm with vanilla ice cream on top there is nothing better. Since I don't have a cherry tree in my yard I have to buy cherries but I still use Grandmas recipe.

This recipe is missing some important steps. I had to look up a different recipe to figure out how to actually make the pie.

The filling was too runny. I think I'll try using less cornstarch next time.

My grandmother's cherry pie recipe is very similar to this one, and it's always a hit with my family. I love the addition of almond extract, which gives the pie a really nice flavor.
