Number Of Ingredients 11

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 tbls butter
3 tbls flour
1 1/2 cups milk
3-4 tsp dry ranch seasoning
1/4 to 1/2 tsp white pepper
1 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 1/4 lbs fresh green beans, cooked until crisp-tender
1-2 cup french's french fried onions

Steps:

  • 1 To make sauce, melt butter in small saucepan over low heat. Stir in flour, cook 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Using a wire whisk, stir in milk a little bit at a time. Bring to a boil. Cook, whisking constanly, 1-2 minutes until thickened. Stir in ranch and white pepper; set aside. 2 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a skillet and heat over medium high heat. Add onion and garlic, cook and stir until tender, about 3 minutes. Remove half and set aside. 3 Add mushrooms to skillet with onions and cook about 5 minutes. Combine mushroom mixture, green beans, and sauce in a casserole dish. Combine fried onions with reserved onion mixture and sprinkle over casserole dish. Bake uncovered 20-30 minutes.

This is a great recipe for a quick and easy weeknight meal. It's also a great way to get your kids to eat their vegetables.

This casserole is a bit too rich for my taste. I think I'll try using low-fat milk and cheese next time.

I followed the recipe exactly but my casserole didn't turn out as creamy as I expected. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

The casserole was a bit too mushy for my liking. I think I'll try cooking the green beans for a shorter amount of time next time.

This casserole was a little bland for my taste. I added some extra salt and pepper and it was much better.
