Steps:
- Cream together sugar, shortening, egg and almond extract. Add flour and salt and mix well. Fold in coconut. Shape into 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork. Bake in 325 oven 15-18 min until slightly golden around the edges.
