Herman Dinner Rolls image

Yet another use for your Herman starter. For a variation try making a loaf of bread from your dough. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 25 to 30 minutes.

1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
½ cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 cup Herman Sourdough Starter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 pinch salt
4 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • In a large bowl combine yeast and warm water. Stir until yeast is dissolved. Add Herman Sweet Sourdough Starter, flour, salt, and oil. Mix well.
  • Shape into 16 rolls. Place in a greased 8x8 inch pan. Let stand for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Bake in a 350 degree F (175 degree C) oven for 20 minutes, or until brown.
