Honey roasted chocolate chippers image

I got this recipe from a hometown cookbook. These cookies smell so good coming out of the oven kind of like funnel cake. The only change I would make is I will use a glazed peanut next time instead of honey roasted. This cookie also doesn't have a lot of chocolate chips so feel free to increase the amount if you like more.

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 13

3/4 c butter, softened
1 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
2 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 c flour
1/2 c rolled oats
1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c honey roasted peanuts
3 pkg (1.6-2 oz)milky way or caramello bars (caramelllos are really hard to chop so i use milky ways)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 and grease cookie sheets
  • 2. Loosely cream the butter and brown sugar together. You want the mixture to be lumpy.
  • 3. Add the cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, egg, milk and vanilla. stir to combine
  • 4. Add the rest of the ingredients and drop into greased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 minutes

These cookies are a bit too sweet for my taste, but they're still good. I think I'll try using less honey next time.

I was disappointed with these cookies. They were dry and crumbly, and the honey flavor was barely noticeable.

Not a fan. The cookies were too sweet for my taste and the honey flavor was overpowering. I wouldn't make these again.
