Sweet and buttery, this simple sauce will transform baked squash into a stellar side dish.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 375°F.
- Scrub squash to remove any dirt. Cut squash in half lengthwise; remove seeds and fibers. Arrange cut side down in ungreased shallow baking pan. Surround with 1/2 inch hot water.
- Bake 30 minutes.
- Mix remaining ingredients. Pour off water from baking pan, and turn squash cut side up. Pour mixture into squash cavities.
- Bake 15 minutes longer.
