Horseradish Meatballs image

Number Of Ingredients 19

2 eggs
1 tablespoon horseradish
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 pound ground turkey
SAUCE:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chili sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon horseradish
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Crumble meat over mixture mix well. Shape into 1-1/2-inch balls. 2. Place in a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350° F for 35-40 minutes or until no longer pink. 3. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, combine sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Add meat balls stirring gently to coat.
