HOT FRUIT COMPOTE image

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 28oz can Peach halves
1 28oz can Peach slices
1 15 oz can Pineapple chucks
1 1lb can Apricot halves
1 1lb can Pitted dark cherries
1 Bag Toasted slivered almonds
4 Bananas
1 Lemon
1 Bag Almond macaroon cookies
Brown Sugar
Butter
1/3 cup Banana liquid Or Cointreau (I use this)

Steps:

  • One day before the holiday dinner, drain fruit and dry - crumble Macaroons - but leave in small pieces covered with a paper towel On the day of serving slice bananas and sprinkle with lemon juice, mix all of the fruit together and layer all of the mixed fruit, half and half macaroons (2 quart) sprinkle the top of each layer with brown sugar, almonds and then bat with butter. Repeat Put the liquid on the fruit before baking. Bake at 300 degrees 20 to 30 minutes
