Indian Buttermilk Lassi With Cardamom image

1/2 cup sugar
2 cups water
2 cardamom pods (the seeds from...)
1 cup plain yogurt
2 cups buttermilk
1 -2 teaspoon rose water (optional)

Steps:

  • Stir to dissolve the sugar in the water.
  • Crush the cardamom seeds (with a rolling pin or pestle and mortar) and add them to sugar-water.
  • Add all the rest of the ingredients; stir to blend.
  • Chill and serve.
