Kielbasa Appetizers image

I got the idea to make these when we had a Hickory Farm store at our local mall. They had cheddy brauts that they would cook right in front of the store, mmm were they good. Well the store isn't there anymore and I missed them. One Holiday I bought the Kielbasa and thought hmm slice these and buy the Kraft sweet and sour sauce...

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 2

1-2 lb or pkgs of kielbasa (i usually buy 2)
1 bottle of kraft sweet and sour sauce (pictured above)

Steps:

  • 1. Doesn't cost much to make these and so easy, the men will gobble em up in no time.
  • 2. I just use a cast iron pan, spray with oil, slice your kielbasa in coin shapes, place in pre-heated medium heated pan, use a brush to apply the sweet and sour sauce on top of each one. Turn and brush the other side and wait til they are nicely browned . Your done. Serve on a platter with toothpicks available or stuck in each one.
  • 3. The picture above was taken when I was just starting to cook them, you want them a little more browned than it shows in the picture.
  • 4. Sauce is Kraft Food , www.kraftfoods.com. For more information or to sign up for a free subscription, please visit www.kraftfoods.com/magazine."

I followed the recipe exactly, but my kielbasa appetizers didn't turn out as expected. They were dry and overcooked. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

I've made these kielbasa appetizers several times and they're always a hit! They're perfect for parties or potlucks. I love that I can make them ahead of time and just pop them in the oven when I'm ready to serve.

These kielbasa appetizers were a bit too greasy for my taste. I think I'll try baking them next time instead of frying them.

I followed the recipe exactly and the kielbasa appetizers turned out great! They were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

These kielbasa appetizers were a little spicy for my taste, but my husband loved them. I'll definitely be making them again, but I'll use a milder kielbasa next time.
