This no-bake recipe takes a bit of time to make but a little goes a long way! They have gotten the seal of approval from everyone who has tried them in my family. I usually make it on the stovetop and wash the pan between layers in order to cut down on dishes but it can also be made in the microwave. These bars are VERY rich and make a huge batch. They freeze well.

I can't wait to try different variations of these Messenger Bars. I think they would be great with different types of chocolate chips or nuts.

I would give these Messenger Bars a 3 out of 5 stars. They're easy to make and taste good, but they're not the best dessert I've ever had.

Overall, I thought these Messenger Bars were just okay. They weren't bad, but they weren't anything special either.

The crust on these bars was a bit too crumbly for my liking. I think I would use a different recipe for the crust next time.

These bars are a bit too sweet for my taste. I would recommend using less sugar next time.

I love that these Messenger Bars can be customized to your liking. I added some chopped walnuts and dried cranberries to mine.

These bars are a great make-ahead dessert. I made them a few days ahead of time and they were just as good as when I first made them.

I'm not usually a fan of no-bake desserts, but these Messenger Bars are an exception. They're so rich and decadent, you'd never guess they're made without an oven.
