A friend gave me this recipe. Haven't tried it but she's a great cook so I'm sure this is a good recipe.

Steps:
- 1. Brown ground chuck and drain fat. Put back in pan and stir in 1 envelope taco seasoning mix and 1 cup picante sauce.
- 2. Remove from heat and stir in lightly beaten egg.
- 3. In this order, layer 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese, 1 can chopped green chilis, cooked ground beef mixture, 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, and 1/3 cup tortilla chips.
- 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes (place casserole on a cookie sheet for baking).
- 5. Garnish with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, picante sauce, onion, olives -- go crazy! You choose!
