One of my daughters favorite cookies. I would have preferred to add nuts, but she wanted them with just the chips...great either way. Enjoy! My photos

Steps:
- 1. In a mixer bowl ( I used my kitchen aid with paddle attachment.), beat butter for about 30 seconds. Add the sugars, baking soda and salt. Beat until well combined.
- 2. Add the eggs and vanilla, beat until smooth.
- 3. Now, beat in the 3 cups of flour. You may have to beat the last cup in my hand. This is a stiff dough. My mixer handled it, but a regular mixer may not.
- 4. Now, by hand, stir in your chips.
- 5. Using a rounded tablespoon of dough; carefully roll into balls. Place about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. ( I made mine a golfball size.) Bake for 12 - 15 minutes. Check sooner, as all ovens cook differently. Mine took exactly 15 minutes.
- 6. Cool for a few minutes on cookie sheet before removing to finish cooking in a wire rack. Note: I take my cookies out, while they still look like they have a bit of doughiness to them in the center. They always seem to turn out wonderfully chewy. That's just how we like them.
- 7. Enjoy!
