This is my momma's recipe. These cookies are so unusual and everyone loves them including me. Mom used to take them and share at the nursing home she volunteered at. She makes them around the holidays.

I'm not a big fan of coffee, but I loved these cookies. The coffee flavor is very mild, and it really complements the chocolate.

I added some chopped walnuts to the batter, and they turned out great! The cookies were still soft and chewy, but the walnuts added a nice crunch.
