Molasses Baked Beans image

Clipped while looking for a baked beans recipe that didn't contain pork. Haven't tried this yet. Posted here for safe keeping.

4 (15 ounce) cans black beans or 4 (15 ounce) cans butter beans, rinsed and drained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup molasses
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in crock pot.
  • Cook on low 5-6 hours or on high 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
