Meet the Cook: Whenever I have company, I like to be able to just pop the food on the table. So this recipe's a real favorite of mine. I got it from a friend who made it for our church get-togethers. My husband and I raised four children; today, we have seven grandchildren. In our small town, farmland surrounds us on three sides, and we face the Columbia River on the other. -Lois Chapman, Ridgefield, Washington

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my egg salad turned out really runny. I think I might have used too much mayonnaise.

I'm allergic to celery, so I substituted diced cucumbers instead. It was still delicious!

This egg salad is a little too mayonnaise-y for my taste. I would recommend using less mayonnaise or adding more celery and onion to balance out the flavor.

This molded egg salad is a great make-ahead dish. I usually make it the night before and then just serve it the next day.

This is the best egg salad I've ever had! The celery and onion add a nice crunch and the mayonnaise makes it nice and creamy.
