MOM'S SAGE STUFFING image

Number Of Ingredients 11

12 ounce package bread cubes
12 ounce package cornbread crumbs
1 medium Onion, diced
5 stalks Celery, chopped
1 1/2 pounds mild sausage
2 Eggs
1 14 ounce can Chicken Broth
4 cups Water
6 Tablespoons Butter
1 Tablespoon dried Sage
Pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Boil chicken broth, water, butter, celery & onion until veggies are tender. Remove from heat, add sage and pepper. Cook sausage, drain. Mix bread cubes and cornbread crumbs. Add sausage to breads, stir. Add eggs, then add liquid mixture. Stir well. Use to stuff turkey, or bake in a casserole dish at 350°F for one hour.
