2/3 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup dried apricot, sliced
2 dried figs, quartered
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/8 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Add water to a saucepan; bring to a boil.
  • Stir in the oats, raisins, apricots, figs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt.
  • Bring to a boil; lower heat to med-low; simmer, uncovered, for about 5-10 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed and the fruit softened.
