Old Fashioned Mayonnaise Muffins- Grandma's image

Very easy and good. This is my grandma's recipe from the 1950's. Grandma would often stir up a batch while the main dish for dinner was cooking. They are best hot and fresh.

The recipe was easy to follow, but the muffins didn't rise very much. They were still tasty, though.

I made these muffins exactly as the recipe said, and they turned out dry and crumbly. I'm not sure what went wrong.

I was skeptical about using mayonnaise in muffins, but I'm so glad I tried this recipe. The muffins were moist and flavorful, and they disappeared quickly!

These muffins were a hit with my family! They had a light and fluffy texture, and the mayonnaise added a subtle tang that really complemented the other flavors.
