750 ml bottle dry red wine
1 c sugar
1 Tbsp sugar
1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
8 oranges

  • 3. Finely grate peel from 2 oranges and mix with 1 tablespoon sugar in a small bowl.
  • 4. Using a small sharp knife, cut off peel and white pith from all oranges.
  • 5. Working over a large bowl, cut between membranes to release segments. (Can be made 1 day ahead. Cover orange segments and sugared peel separately and chill.)
