Every family has their own verson of this recipe. This is the one my family uses which I got from my Mother Joyce Walburn and she got from my father's Aunt Elma Edwards(Emo) from St. Louis Mo. Just about every family gathering, holiday you can count on this dish being on the table.

I love this recipe! It's so easy to make and always turns out great. I usually add some cooked bacon or sausage to the casserole for extra flavor.

I thought this casserole was just okay. The potatoes were a little dry and the sauce was a bit too thick. I probably won't be making this again.

This casserole was a little bland for my taste. I would recommend adding some extra salt and pepper to the potatoes before baking.
