- Mix all topping ingredients and set aside. Coat fish in flour, dip in egg then coat in bread crumbs. Pan fry 4 to 5 minutes each side, I use a cast iron pan, fry 2 fillets at a time. Top each fillet with the topping and broil for 3 minutes or until cheese is browned.
