Pea Soup image

My Mom and MIL love split pea soup and every time my mom bakes a ham she sends the bone home with me so I will make split pea soup and send the soup back home with them.

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 c baby carrots
1 c white onion, diced
3 small potatoes, diced
1 ham bone
2 c green split peas, washed
1 bay leaf
1 Tbsp celery flakes
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp marjoram
1 tsp lemon tyme
8 c water
8 chicken bouillon cubes
1/2 tsp basil
1 tsp lemon garlic

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover. Cook on low 8-10 hours or overnight. Or on high 6 hours, until peas are tender. Remove bay leaf and ham bone and serve or freeze in individual freezer containers.
