I'm allergic to pecans. Can I substitute another nut, like walnuts or almonds?

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my dump cake turned out dry and crumbly. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what happened.

I'm not a huge fan of pecan pie, but this dump cake changed my mind. It's the perfect dessert for people who want a sweet treat without the heavy filling of a traditional pecan pie.
