Pink Gin Martinis image

Like in the classic cocktail pink gin, Angostura bitters give this drink its lovely blush hue. A splash of vermouth takes it into martini territory, and the addition of kirsch, a clear brandy distilled from cherries and their pits, delivers an unexpected twist.

2 ounces gin, such as Hendrick's
2 ounces kirsch
1 ounce blanc vermouth, such as Dolin
2 to 3 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters
Lemon twists and maraschino cherries, such as Luxardo, for serving

Steps:

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add gin, kirsch, vermouth, and bitters; shake vigorously 30 seconds. Strain into two coupes, garnish with lemon twists and cherries, and serve.
