QUICK BORSCHT image

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 can whole or sliced beets
2T butter
1 large onion finely chopped
1 clove garlic
2 c water
1/4 c red wine vinegar
2 c water
1t sugar
1 t dillweed
1 t caraway
1 1/2 c shredded cabbage
1 can 19oz 540 ml tomatoes
1 can beef broth

Steps:

  • In saucepan, melt butter, add onion , garlic , cabbage, stir till wilted. Add beets, liquid, tomatoes, beef broth, water, vinegar, sugar, dill, caraway. Cover and simmer for 30 mins.
