Yield 6-8 people

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups gratted aged chedder cheese
1/2+ cup sour cream
3 stems finely sliced green onions
2 cup toasted shell on slivered almonds

Steps:

  • The pine cone shape has directions for Christmas but this is also a wonderful treat for the kids lunches, after school or anytime. You can make it without the almonds, and simply place it in a nice bowl, on on a plate. Try topping it with chopped parsley,or fresh herbs of your choice. My company is crazy about this , little do they know how easy it is to prepare . It tasts like you have added a lot of ingredients, but it is simple enough to make last minute if company drops in.

These cheese appetizers were a bit too salty for my taste. I think I would use less salt next time.

I tried this recipe and it was a disaster. The cheese didn't melt properly and the pine nuts were burnt. I wouldn't recommend this recipe to anyone.
