Sauerkraut Sausage Soup image

"My husband and I make our own sauerkraut and grow many of the vegetables in this easy slow cooker soup," relates Yvonne Kett of Appleton, Wisconsin. "It cooks all day and smells delicious when we come home from work. I usually assemble this the night before and put it in the fridge. Then I take it out and pop it in the slow cooker just before I leave for work in the morning."

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my soup turned out bland. I followed the recipe exactly, but it just didn't have much flavor.

This soup was a bit too salty for my taste. I would recommend using less salt when making this soup.

I'm not a huge fan of sauerkraut, but I really enjoyed this soup. The flavors were well-balanced and the soup was very hearty.
