I made these, 2 batches, and they were both gone in an hour!!! Yes they are that good! I also doubled the amount of cream cheese :)

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 lb sausage, hot
1-8 oz cream cheese
2 pkg crescent rolls
3 dash(es) salt and pepper
3 dash(es) garlic powder

Steps:

  • 1. In a saute pan, brown sausage; drain. Add a dash of salt and pepper and Garlic powder
  • 2. Blend in cream cheese until the cream cheese is melted. *Note: my family loves cream cheese so I doubled the amount and it came out fantastic!
  • 3. Unroll one package of crescent rolls and place on a baking sheet. With your fingers, gently press the seams together to seal them. Spread the sausage mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough, leaving about a 1/2-inch border along the edges. Unroll the remaining package of crescent rolls and place on top of the sausage mixture. Press the edges together to seal. Gently press the seams together.
  • 4. Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until crescent roll dough is golden brown. Cut into small squares and serve.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my sausage bites came out dry and crumbly. I think I might have overcooked them.

These sausage bites were a bit too greasy for my liking. I think I'll try baking them next time instead of frying them.

I'm not a big fan of sausage, but I actually really enjoyed these sausage bites. They're crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
