Sausage-Corn Chili image

For a quick week-night meal, this chili--with sausage, kidney beans, corn, and just the right kick--can't be beat.

1 (9.6 ounce) package Jimmy Dean® Original Hearty Pork Sausage Crumbles
1 small onion, chopped
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 ½ cups water
1 (15.5 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed, drained
1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
⅔ cup picante sauce or salsa
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Sour cream
Chopped cilantro

Steps:

  • Cook sausage, onion and chili powder in large saucepan over medium heat 4-5 minutes or until onion is tender.
  • Stir in water, beans, corn, tomato sauce and picante sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Ladle into bowls. Add toppings, if desired.
