2 cups self rising flour
2/3 cup milk
1 large egg
3 tablespoons melted shortening

Steps:

  • Mix together.
  • Place onto floured surface.
  • Roll to 1/2 inch thickness.
  • Cut.
  • Bake at 450 for 10 to 12 minutes.

I've tried a lot of self-rising biscuit recipes, but this one is by far the best. The biscuits are light and fluffy, with a perfect golden brown crust. They're also really easy to make, which is a bonus.
