Categories     Shellfish     Appetizer     Sauté     Quick & Easy     Low Cal

Yield 4-6

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 lb medium or large shrimp
6 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup dry white wine or sherry
1 teaspoon Spanish paprika
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper
A dash Hot Sauce or pepper flakes (optional)
1 lemon for juice to pour when serving
parsley or chopped cilantro
Loaf or fresh baguette bread

Steps:

  • In low heat, cook garlic in olive oil until garlic is golden brown (be careful, garlic burns easily!) Raise heat to medium-high and add the shrimp. Add salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with 1/2 paprika. Flip shrimp over and add salt, pepper and paprika again. (be careful not to add too much salt!) Pour the wine over the shrimp and cook until done. Do not over cook!! Add hot sauce or pepper flakes if using any. Transfer shrimp to plate. Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp. Sprinkle with parsley or cilantro. Serve the shrimp with fresh warm baguette. Enjoy!!
