1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400* F.
  • Core apples and place in a baking dish
  • Blend sugar with spices; spoon an equal amunt into each apple.
  • Cover bottom of baking dish with 1/4 inch boiling water.
  • Bake until soft (30 minutes or more).
  • Several times during baking, spoon pan juices over apples.
