Haven't made this yet but saw it on Face Book and sounds yummy! I would use Butterball Turkey Keilbasa (for smoked sausage ingredient) as it is the only one I can find without beef collagen in the casing and no maltodextrin as I do not / cannot eat red meat. A lot of foods contain maltodextrin which if not otherwise specified is...

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 small head of cabbage
1 onion, chopped
1 pound smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes or rotel tomatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butter in large skillet. Add cabbage, onion, and cook on medium high for about 5 minutes stirring to keep from sticking to pan. Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for 20 - 25 minutes. Makes about 8 servings.
