Slow Cooker Sweet & Sour Spare Ribs Recipe - (4.1/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3 lbs meaty pork spare ribs, cut in 2-3 rib sections

Steps:

  • Mix brown sugar and flour in a saucepan. Add water, then vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, ginger, garlic powder. Cook and stir over over medium heat until boiling and thickened. Layer ribs in 4-6 quart crockpot spooning sauce over each layer. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or on High for 5-6 hours until ribs are very tender.
