Southern Fried Apples image

Who loves Fried Apples? Make these mouth watering succulent fried apples and serve them by themselves or over hot homemade southern biscuits. See my recipe for the biscuits.

Number Of Ingredients 4

5-6 medium apples, sweet and juicy
1 c white sugar
1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 stick butter, not margarine

Steps:

  • 1. Slice butter in bottom of a 12' skillet. Peel, core and quarter apples, add to skillet.
  • 2. Pour in white sugar and brown sugar.
  • 3. Over medium high heat bring apples to a boil stirring frequently.
  • 4. Reduce heat to medium low and cook until apples are tender and juicy. Stirring frequently to prevent scorching. Serve solo or over piping hot, fresh from the oven, homemade biscuits.
