Spiced 'shake 'n' Bake' Pita Chips image

My dad LOVES these! And he LOVES regular, unhealthy potato chips, so I'm MORE than happy to make these for him. We both like things spicy. I suggest serving with Laura Divine's Low Fat Hummus (40517). Adjust spices to your taste - they are just estimates anyway - I do spices by the senses - feel, smell, and look. Can be easily doubled, tripled, etc - just need to do the oven steps a couple more times to account for the extra chips. Optional Equipment: spray bottle filled with water

These pita chips are the worst thing I've ever eaten. They're dry, tasteless, and they have a weird aftertaste.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my pita chips didn't turn out anything like the picture. They were really bland and tasteless.

These pita chips are a bit too oily for my taste. I think I'll try baking them instead of frying them next time.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my pita chips didn't turn out crispy. They were more like soft pita bread.

These pita chips are a bit too spicy for my taste, but they're still really good. I would recommend using less chili powder if you don't like spicy food.

I'm not a huge fan of pita chips, but these are actually really good. They're crispy and flavorful, and the spices are just right.
